Housing to Home

Some gifts last a lifetime.  Few can change one.  Consider JOIN's "Housing to Home" program as a concrete alternative to other donation and involvement opportunities many of which lack a direct link to visible outcomes.  Housing to Home asks you to make a specific gift that has an immediate life-changing and long-term impact on homeless households, the gift of stable housing. 

There are few gifts with as direct an impact on quality of life as helping someone escape the violence, chaos, and deprivation of life on street. We know good things happen from the safety and stability of housing. Support long-term stability by creating a home with your gift.  

There are two parts to this program, each is essential to creating long-term stability.

As a  Home Sponsor, your $2,500 gift provides the financial resources needed to support one household transition from the street into permanent housing.  

• Move-in Expenses - $1150 (application fee, deposits, last month's rent)
• Rent Assistance - $750
• Stabilization Services - $600 (ID, Bus Pass, Utility Assistance)

As a Home Sponsor you will see the impact of your donation. We will share each household's story, challenges and success with you and send you a 6 and 12-month update on the household your gift supported.
