Severe Weather Basic Service Center Volunteers
Approximately 10-20 times throughout the winter, the City of Portland declares a severe weather warning; during these warnings there is a significant risk to the life and safety of hundreds of men, women, and children who are homeless. We are seeking to engage a pool of on-call volunteers that we can contact to help us staff our basic service center or "House" during the morning from 7am-10am and/or 3:00-7:30pm. Training will be provided and staff support will be available at all times. If you are interested in this opportunity, please send us your contact information as well as your times and days of availability. Contact Sydney at slinden@joinpdx.com or (503) 232-7052 ext 204.
