We know that any day on the golf course is a good day. We also know that there are no good days on the street. The experience of homelessness robs people of their dignity, self-confidence and hope for a better future. 

Last year at our inaugural Door’s Open Golf Tournament 102 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day at Tualatin Country Club and raised enough money to move ten people off the streets and into homes of their own! 

This year, with your participation, we want to open three times as many doors to permanent housing. Please consider: (1) becoming a sponsor, (2) registering a foursome, and/or (3) donating a silent auction item.

Good Fun and a Good Investment

In 2007, JOIN’s ten-person team helped 479 people move off the streets into permanent housing, including 78 families and 118 children.  And we spent less to keep these households in permanent housing ($15/night) than it would have cost to have them living in an emergency shelter ($25/night). 

JOIN helps people end their homelessness  so cost-effectively because we recognize both the importance of not doing for others what they can do for themselves, and that all of us need true friendship and the support of others to overcome any major life challenge. 

On May 12^th, join us at the Tualatin Country Club for golf and dinner. You’ll have a great time and you’ll help us provide people who are working hard to end their homelessness the support they need to succeed.
